Through this workshop, we expect to gain international connections among young researchers, to organize the difficulties in the pandemic from global points of view, which we can add pan-global applicability to our research questions, and to extend the discussions towards international co-research smoothly.

Members

Speakers

Cecile Paris (Data61 Language and Social Computing team, CSIRO, Australia)

Christophe Claramunt (Naval Academy Research Institute, France)

Miratul Khusna Mufida (Université Polytechnic Hauts de France, France)

Panote Siriaraya (Kyoto Institute of Technology, Japan)

Wan Jou She (Weill Cornell Medicine, Center for Research on End-of-Life Care, USA)

Taichi Murayama (Nara Institute of Science and Technology, Japan)

Organization

Eiji Aramaki (Nara Institute of Science and Technology, Japan)

Shoko Wakamiya (Nara Institute of Science and Technology, Japan)

Shuntaro Yada (Nara Institute of Science and Technology, Japan)

Kongmeng Liew (Nara Institute of Science and Technology, Japan)

Time Table

Times below are based on Japanese Standard Time (JST; UTC+09:00).

Time

Content

17:00-17:05

Introduction by Aramaki & Opening Short Movie

17:05-17:15

Talk 1:
Title: Toward Research for Infodemic: Case study of infodemic in Japan
Speaker: Taichi Murayama (Nara Institute of Science and Technology, Japan)
Chair: Aramaki & Yada

17:15-17:35

Talk 2:
Title: (some) Social Computing at CSIRO: Extracting knowledge, discovering behaviour
Speaker: Cecile Paris (Data61 Language and Social Computing team, CSIRO, Australia)
Chair: Aramaki & Yada

17:35-17:55

Talk 3:
Title: Covid-19 contact tracing: social, ethical and technical issues
Speaker: Christophe Claramunt (Naval Academy Research Institute, France)
Chair: Wakamiya & Kong

17:55-18:15

Talk 4:
Title: Big Data for Intelligent Transport System
Speaker: Miratul Khusna Mufida (Université Polytechnic Hauts de France, France)
Chair: Wakamiya & Kong

18:15-18:35

Talk 5:
Title: Supporting mental health through digital technology during covid-19
Speakers: Panote Siriaraya (Kyoto Institute of Technology, Japan) & Wan Jou She (Weill Cornell Medicine, Center for Research on End-of-Life Care, USA)
Chair: Wakamiya & Kong

18:35-19:00

Messages from All Researchers (Chair: Kong)
Closing (Chair: Wakamiya)

Purpose The epidemic of COVID-19, which started at the end of 2019 and eventually reached a pandemic in 2020, changed society irreversibly.
